IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING YOUTH REGISTRATION
As of 12/16/11, CNJC has received sufficient youth applications and deposits to fill four Council contingent troops. At this point, it is uncertain whether additional troops will be filled. All youths with an application and deposit received by 12/16/11 are included in one of these first four contingent troops. All applications and deposits received after 12/16/11 will be included with a tentative fifth troop. If we receive sufficient applications and deposits to fill this fifth troop, then all youths in this troop will have a position in the contingent. (We are currently working with a group on taking the entire sixth troop slot, but this will have no impact on filling the fifth troop). If we do not fill a fifth troop, then all youths that applied after 12/16/11 will be placed on a waiting list in the order their application and deposit were received in the Council office.
The bottom line is we can only guarantee full troops. Make sure you are part of a full troop. If you are considering the 2013 Jamboree, the sooner you get your application and deposit into the office, the more likely it will be that you will be included in the Council contingent.

Due to some unexpected circumstances, the Jamboree committee has decided to temporarily extend the deadline for submitting a troop leader application. However, interviews, screening, of applicants, and selection of troop leaders are proceeding as scheduled. We do not anticipate any further announcements prior to closing the window for submitting a troop leader application.
The CNJC Contingent is made up of 6 Scout Troops of 36 youth and 4 adults each, and 3 Venturing Patrols of 10 members with the following make up: 9 youth and one adult if all are the same sex, 8 youth and 1 male leader and 1 female leader if co-ed. To guarantee that we will be able to keep these troops and patrols, we need to fill these slots by December 15th. If they are not filled, we may lose any open troops and patrols back to National for them to give them to other Councils that need them. So, register early to guarantee your slot.
