- Approved Scout Camp Sites
- Camp closings by Council due to weather - If the Council decides to close either KMSR or YCSR due to inclement weather, the Ranger will contact each unit scheduled to camp over the weekend. The Council's Program Assistant will pull the paperwork for each unit and indicate the closing and 100% of the fee transferable for another available weekend. Any additional fees for an increase in site fees would be needed prior to confirmation of the alternate weekend.

Anyone showing up without prior approval will be turned away. Contact the Central New Jersey Council at (609) 419-1600 prior to your hike to be able to gain access to Yards Creek Scout Reservation.

| Kittatinny Mountain Scout Reservation |
A complete camping facility suitable for your summer camping experience, a 500+ acre Scouting retreat where camp staff, unit leaders, and Scouts work together to learn the best that Scouting can offer in developing better units, qualified scouters, and skillful, self-reliant boys and young men. The camp is located on the edge of Stokes State Forest, in Sandyston Township, New Jersey within hiking distance of the Appalachian Trail.
Pop-up campers and RVs are not permitted in camp.

| Thompson Park |
Thompson Park, located in Jamesburg and Monroe and operated by the Middlesex County Department of Parks and Recreation, boasts four lighted tennis courts, four basketball courts, two handball courts, and a softball field. The park has numerous trails that are ideal for cross country skiing, jogging, walking, and hiking.
A little known fact about Thompson Park is the existence of a fresh water spring, where you can fill your own bottle to quench your thirst after a day of exercise.
Goats, deer, peacocks, and other animals thrive in the park's animal haven.
Use the form below to reserve one of the park's two campsites for your unit's overnight camp experience. Capacity of the sites is not limited.

| Yards Creek Scout Reservation |
A 510-acre Scouting retreat located on the grounds of the Yards Creek Pumping Station in Blairstown, New Jersey within hiking distance of the Appalachian Trail and the Delaware River, and an easy drive to the Delaware Water Gap. Currently, the camp is limited to short-term use. This is an excellent opportunity for units that want to do day trips to the Appalachian Trail or to the Delaware River and need a place to camp for a few nights.
